The standards to be formulated by the medical insurance chamber of Commerce include: Epimedium extract, Paeonia Alba extract, green coffee bean extract, Ganoderma lucidum extract, Pueraria extract, etc. Among them, Epimedium extract and green coffee bean extract will cooperate with USP, and the two sides will recognize each other directly after the standard is completed. In addition, the medical insurance chamber of commerce also plans to cooperate with the National Health Foundation (NSF) to carry out the relevant international certification (GEP certification) and recommendation work of extract production process.

 

Plant extracts have always been the major export category of traditional Chinese medicine products. Since the first batch of international business standards for plant extracts were issued by the medical insurance chamber of Commerce in 2013, it has filled the gap of domestic standards for extracts.
